Clinique seems to have a good selection of nude lipsitcks, but I haven't tried the other nude colors from clinque yet. But so far this seems like a perfect match for me, without being too pink or too dark. I wear this almost everyday! The texture is very creamy and it doesn't dry out my lips like most other lipstick would.
Pros:creamy, perfect nude shade, doesn't dry my lips Cons:on the pricey side
this color looks fantastic on my alabaster skin. they aren't kidding when they say long lasting... after a few hours the shine goes away, but the color stays put. love it!
Pros:long lasting pigment, great color Cons:kinda pricey
I don't think anyone could go wrong with this shade. It's a beautiful neutral that could be used with nearly all skin tones. Particularly sexy color with darker or tanned skin. Stunning on Blondes !.
These were my first gel lipsticks and I adore them. I love how smoothly they glide on and how the color is semi transparent but buildable without look caked on.
My favorit color is this is Praline, although I was originally in love with Delovely. Unfortunately I was somehow allergic to Delovely and it would make my lips swell to the siz of my head.
Aside from the Delovely experience, these are total winners and I will definitely repurchase.
Eh. I'm very apathetic towards this product. I got in a gift set I had won during a beauty raffle at Hechts or Nordstroms and was so excited to try this. Why? For the same reason all the other reveiws bought it. Because it was THE lipstick to wear at the time. At least a dozen celbs were quoted in saying that this was their lipstick of choice... yet I never saw any of them wearing it. And no, I don't think that was a coincidence. More like the marketing machine hard at work.
And why on earth is this color called Black Honey? Yes, its black in the tube... but it goes on in a sheer berry color. What the heck does that have to do with honey? They should have named it Black Berry.
Obviously I would never buy another tube of this stuff.
Review: *sigh* I loved this lipstick. Really, I did. I wanted to wear it all the time. But everytime I put it on, I would go through the strangest transformation and my lips would balloon.
Obviously, I was allergic to this stuff. And part of the reaction was scary Angelina Jolie lips that made me look like Goldie Hawn in the First Wives Club. Wrong wrong wrong... bleh...
I returned this and got a nice eyeliner instead (Black Diamonds)
Me: NC43, GGG, Green Eyes, Jet Black Straight Hair, Combination and Sensitive Skin, Very Break-Out Prone
Color: The color or a deep red apple mixed with a splash of dark brown
Finish: Creamy with pearl
Review: The texture of this stuff is phenominal. I adore them so much and I don't even like Clinique. I think the brand is re-structuring because their new products have been great.
This lipstick glides on with semi-transparent color and looks marvelous. My SO hates the color but I get a lot of compliments on it from my girlfriends, so I wear it during girls night out.

This was a full size gift with purchase. When I first looked at this lipstick, I didn't think it would look nice on me. It's a light bronzy neutral shade, but has gold bronzy shimmer too it and in the tube it looks much darker than on my lips. To my surprise, I actually liked this color on me and wore it for quite some time (and I'm not a big lipstick person....heck I've got enough lipsticks, but I can never find one that's right for me.....why do I have so many then?).
This gives off shine and shimmer and some moisturizing factors to it. Lasting power is average. I'm sure this is another you can work up or down with other lipsticks or lipglosses....very nice neutral more sheer medium shade
My skin: NW25/sensitive/hyper-oily/acne prone w/ pink undertones.
Pros:shimmer, shine, nuetural bronzy color Cons:looks darker or more intimidating than it actually is, I don't think they sell this anymore
I got this lippie in a GWP of my mom's that she gave me. It's not all that pigmented... it's a light, frosty pink... but it does show up, and it's a Bare Brilliance lippie. It's pretty, but I prefer using a gloss over it so it doesn't look as stale. It doesn't look that stale alone due to the frostiness and such... but still. The texture is quite nice. It basically glides on. When I find out about the lasting power, I'll edit this review.
I like this lippie! I received a generously sized sample in a GWP of my mom's that she gave me. The name implies that it's a beige color, and it is. This is a nice nude color that may wash out pale skin but doesn't wash out my olive skin. It's 100% matte, so wearing it means a definite subdued lip look. Paired with a shimmery l/g, it is beautiful. The texture is close to the texture of margarine, and the lasting power... I'll have to edit this review once I get a number of hours this stayed on. I can't justify department store prices for m/u, so I wouldn't actually buy this, but I'm glad I have it.
Pros:nice texture, nice nude color that doesn't wash out my olive skin Cons:might wash some people out, retail price
I got this in a GWP of my mom's that she gave me. It's a nude color with some rose in it, which is nice. If I use too much of it, I just look muddy. I wish it was longer lasting on my lips. The texture is nice; it goes on like satin. I can't justify actually buying this... as I can't justify dept. store prices for m/u. I do like it though, and I'll enjoy it while I'll have it... though I've had it for quite a while now! (few years) Just haven't used it much...
Pros:nice nude/rose color, good texture Cons:retail price, too much looks muddy, could be longer lasting
I got this lippie in a GWP of my mom's that she gave me... but it def. looks full size to me! Anyhow, I love the way this color looks on me... it's just that it's overly bold. I'm a teen, and even at night, at my age, it's just too unnatural, although it's, IMO, gorgeous! Basically, I have no use for this... I only like neutrals! However, I'm not taking completely off the rating because it has a nice texture, looks good on me, and has a pretty shimmer to it. This wouldn't be a good lippie for all skin tones, so make sure to try before you buy... unless you can return it! I wouldn't repurchase, firstly because it's too bold for me to use and secondly because I don't like department store prices.
Pros:free in a GWP my mom gave me, gorgeous fuschia with shimmer, nice texture Cons:retail price, too bold for me, wouldn't work on all skin tones
This lipstick was a gift as I would not have chosen this shade for myself. Colour Surge Lipstick in Extreme Pink is pretty much as the shade is described a bright pink fuschia shade. The consistency is very nice almost like a satin it feels nice on the lips, not overly moist. I honestly think this is a good lipstick it's just that the shade is not for me. Pink lovers would probably love this shade.
I also would like to comment on the packaging as I feel Clinique's white metal casings are very sharp looking.
Pros:nice consistency, smooth application, good pigmentation, nice packaging Cons:color
Every single thing about this lipstick is perfect. I love the texture, love the color & love that it doesn't have a scent to it. Great staying power (better than a gloss, but obviously not as great as a lip stain or matte lipstick) Apple Brandy is delicate enough for daytime looks, but also very pretty for nights. Absolutely beautiful red!
Surprise lipstick fits its name perfectly. This is a complex color and difficult for me to describe. On my lips its bronze with a hint of plum and gold shimmer. What I like about this color is that the gold shimmer is only visible in certain lights. Its a creamy and longwearing lipstick. In certain lighting I'll catch a glimpse of it and orange undertones are visible, which is why I make sure I have enough blush on my cheeks to counteract any undertones that my be too warm for my complexion. It is a beautiful color and very unique. Its even more striking with gloss on top of it. I'd definitely repurchase this beautiful shade again.
This was one of my most favourite lipsticks. It looked a dark purple (almost black) in its silver tube but when you put it on, it was sheer, glossy & a mauvy/brown colour. I loved it. Then I gave it to my sister - swapped it for a perfume and went to get another & lo & behold, discontinued. Please, please Clinique bring it back.
I bought this because everyone raved about it, from Elle MacPherson to that actress going out with Harrison Ford (her name escapes me). So because they didn't at the time sell it in New Zealand, I bought it while holiday in the US. I love the colour on me, I love the initial gloss it puts on the lips & I love the container its in. But it faded really quick & made my lips dry. So wouldn't buy again I'm afraid, but a pity cos the colours gorgeous.
Pros:Gorgeous colour Cons:Drys my lips & no staying power at all
